Research Philosophy
Our research is mission–focused and grounded in a first-principles approach:
1) Mission first
We tackle research with a clear vision of the end–state in mind. Research is focused on accelerating market–driven adoption of broad–based EO to enhance economic mobility.
2) Make no assumptions
We focus our research on helping to answer key unresolved questions. Broad–based EO has long been associated with improving employee performance and profits and reducing turnover. However, EO data opacity, impact on firm value, and the definition of broad–based employee ownership remain unresolved.
We focus our research on answering key unresolved questions, including:
Opacity of broad–based EO data
Impact on shareholder value
Definition of broad–based EO
3) Measurement at Scale
Our core foundational goal is the development of a scalable measurement system for broad–based EO. A system to accurately measure employee ownership at scale is essential to advance the conversation and accelerate broad-based adoption.
4) Combine Human Knowledge with AI
We believe Artificial Intelligence offers powerful capabilities when combined with human knowledge and a grounded, human–centric research structure.
5) Triangulate and Cross–validate All Findings
We triangulate and cross–validate all key findings against known alternative sources of data to assess the veracity of new information. We incrementally investigate discrepancies and refine underlying assumptions and models through iteration.
6) Adhere to Core Principles of Finance
